This project used a systematic literature review (SLR) to investigate the strategies to reduce food loss and waste throughout the food supply chain while linking these efforts to improved community nutrition and healthier diets. Specifically, this project highlights global case studies demonstrating the successful integration of FLW reduction initiatives with improved nutrition and health outcomes. Our analysis emphasizes the critical role of policy interventions, technological innovations, and community engagement in creating circular food systems prioritizing resource efficiency and equitable access to nutritious foods.
