Abstract

The establishment of primary particle emissions factors (TSP, PM10 and PM2,5) representative of French pig and poultry farming conditions is essential for the implementation of an effective policy of reduction in order to meet the French commitments at the European level. With this aim in mind, the Papovit project first established a measurement methodology adapted to building housing for fattening pigs and broilers. In a second step, this methodology was applied to about thirty buildings for each production in order to determine the first emission factors for the three primary particle fractions. Various dissemination media (videos, podcast, calculator, interactive educational sheet) were developed during this project for teachers and future players of these production sectors.
