Abstract: The university, as a social institution, occupies a significant position in all societies, and is among the institutions that drive the pace of civilization towards progress. This is due to its important social and economic role, through the role it plays in shaping the social actors of societies, including researchers, thinkers, doctors, economists, politicians, and other social roles. Therefore, intellectual attention should focus on how to ensure the effectiveness of this role, through analyzing the dimensions, philosophy, and methodology of scientific practice within universities, particularly in the social sciences and humanities. This is related to how these actors are formed on the one hand, and the activation of the university's role as a social partner in society on the other. Failure to form these actors and the lack of university involvement ultimately means failure to build or rebuild a society Keywords: Scientific Research, University, Scientific Practice Cultural sediment, Research Methodology.
