Humanitarian Logistics is a very important cluster of activities during emergencies due to natural or man-made disasters in an effort to prevent loss of lives and property. Although various theoretical underpinnings are beneficial to understand the importance of supply chain in a humanitarian context, the management of logistics coordination mechanism along the humanitarian supply chain has yet to be explored. Therefore, the main objective of the study was to identify the role of humanitarian logistics coordination practice on organization performance of ERCS. The researcher used descriptive, exploratory and correlation research designs and conducted a questionnaire for 120 respondents. Thus, data was collected through questionnaire and structured interview. Data was analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Since version 13, descriptive statistics were used to compute frequencies and mean value. In addition, inferential statistics also used for; t-test, correlation test, multi-collinearity test and heteroscedacity test. The majority of the respondents showed that the humanitarian logistics coordination practice on organization performance was moderate. The relationship of factors was tested by using Pearson correlation and the research question were tested using regression analysis. On the effect the mentioned factors on organizational performance, the study found that joint Strategic planning and Resource sharing have more effect on organizational performance following by Organizational relationship, Flexibility and Information sharing while Technical and administrative and Response has the least effect compared to the others. Based on the research finding it was recommended that ERCS to consider: mechanisms of assurance of funding by implementing partnership preconditions with donors and other stakeholders, increase the amount exchange of joint strategic planning ,Resource sharing, Organizational relationship and information sharing with partners, improved specialization in humanitarian logistics coordination and cross-cutting tasks and forge long term collaboration and partnership with other actors to enhance performance of logistics coordination. In addition, ERCS needs to establish appropriate policy, procedures and mechanisms to facilitate logistical coordination by forming strategic relationship with other actors, align logistics capability and devise ways to ensure sufficiency of donors funding for logistics infrastructure, capabilities and long term disaster preparedness in order to enhance organizational performance.
