Oculo-orbital trauma with intraorbital foreign body is quite scarce. We report the case of a patient with a bilateral foreign body in Burkina Faso. A 20-year-old man with no medical past history was victim of a road traffic accident. He presented on arrival a left superior eyelid injury, a ruptured left eye by an intraocular foreign body and edema of the right eyelids with normal visual acuity. The computed tomography (CT) scan of the head and the orbits revealed an orbital bilateral foreign body metallic in nature. Immediate removal of the foreigh body using the fro path was performed and completed by an evisceration with maxillo-facial surgeons. It was a bike hand brake of 8 cm. There were no hemorrhagic nor infectious complications. Intraorbital foreign bodies are quite scarce and only a few authors describe cases, each one unusual. They occur most often in young males. CT scan is the imaging screening of choice for the diagnosis and allows specifying the location in order to discuss the approach. The anterior approach remains the most suitable for the extraction of foreign bodies limited to the orbit without intracerebral penetration. Several authors report cases of intraorbital foreign bodies but this case is peculiar is the bilateral localisation of the ocular foreign body. Oculo-orbital trauma with intraorbital foreign bodies has a poor functional and even vital prognosis, hence the need for multidisciplinary management. Only prevention could reduce their incidence.
