The short essay proposes a proto-queer reading of the work of playwright Raul Dalmonte (aka COPI), based on the author’s extensive research work on this champion of the Argentinian avant-garde. Here, the characters of COPI’s “theater of the world”, the puppets and mirages of his great baroque deception, are signaled as the standard-bearers of a new anthropology of the pose.
