Abstract

Deviations from the standard model predictions have been reported in various\nobservables concerned with the lepton flavor universality. At present, the\ndeviation of the measured values of RD and RD\∗ from the standard\nmodel expectation is exceeded by 2.3\σ and 3.4\σ, respectively.\nVery recently LHCb has measured the ratio of branching ratio RJ/\Ψ =\n mathcal B(Bc \→ J/\Ψ\τ\ν)/ mathcal B(Bc \→ J/\Ψ ,l ,\ν), where l\n\∈ (e, ,\μ), to be 0.71\±0.17\± 0.18 which is at more than 2\σ\naway from the standard model prediction. We investigate the anomalies in RD,\nRD\∗, and RJ/\Ψ using a model independent framework with\nminimal number of new physics couplings. We find various new physics models\nthat can explain these anomalies within 1\σ.\n
