Since early 2024, we have been conducting archaeological research on the Brandenburg-Prussian forts at the West Coast of Ghana and their local communities. Alongside our research programme, we have developed a heritage preservation and presentation project, which was funded by the Cultural Preservation Programme (KEP) of the German Federal Foreign Office and supported by the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board (GMMB). This report provides an overview of the heritage work carried out in late 2024 and early 2025. Our work focused on improving visitor infrastructure and developing an interpretation system at Fort Gross Friedrichsburg and other elements of the Princes Town heritage landscape.
