Abstract

Work carried out within the Casdar RT TechnoDoseViti project (2018-2021) identified the crop parameters needed to predict the statistical distribution of sprayed plant protection product deposits inside the vine canopy (Cheraiet et al., 2021). This experimental modeling work (Codis et al., 2018) built, calibrated, and validated multivariate models to predict different deciles of canopy surface deposition amounts based on vegetation descriptors (canopy height, thickness, and porosity) measured with a mobile 2D LiDAR sensor allowing for a 3D vegetation reconstruction (Cheraiet et al., 2019 & 2020). Models were developed and calibrated for different types of sprayers and different vine systems (wide and narrow vineyards). The data were mobilized to compare different technological scenarios consisting of different mechanization strategies of wine growers and different levels of spraying equipment technology in order to assess what could be the contribution of precision application techniques in terms of reduction of phytosanitary inputs. Within the framework of the project, a web demonstrator has been produced: https://technodoseviti.hdigitag.fr
