Abstract

The asymptotic behavior (such as convergence to an equilibrium, convergence to a 2-cycle, and divergence to infinity) of solutions of the following multi-parameter, rational, second order difference equation x_n+1 =(ax_n³+ bx_n²x_n-1+cx_nx_n-1²+dx_n-1³)/x_n², x_-1,x₀∈ R, is studied in this paper.
