Lattices of flats for symplectic matroids

Abstract

We present a construction of C_n lattices corresponding to a class of ranked symplectic matroids, providing a new way of constructing symplectic matroids. We proceed to prove a few properties of these lattices, the main two being shellability and a characterization by atom orderings.
