Abstract

In this paper, we prove the existence of a global entropy weak solution u∈ H¹(ℝ) and ∂_xu∈ L¹(ℝ)∩ BV(ℝ) for the Cauchy problem of a generalized Camassa-Holm equation by the viscous approximation method.
