The article is focusing on the results of a 4-year collaboration between the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, Department of Defense, USA, and the Office of the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Rehabilitation of Combatants together with Ukrainian Defense Forces & Security Forces, started in June 2017. The information presented in the article is basing on results of the reintegration and post-isolation activities (PISA), lessons learned, and SWOT analysis prepared especially for implementing the experience of reintegration and PISA into the practice of Ukrainian Defense Forces. Experience of collaboration between Ukrainian and American professionals for implementation of the reintegration model of DOD has proved full compatibility in such sensitive areas as reintegration that use complex activities focusing on mentality including detection and counteraction of hostile influences on consciousness and subconscious of returnees. That means that correct organization of the implementation of standards, models, procedures, and tactics used by the USA and other NATO countries defense systems is very important to work well in any other area of defense, including mental & behavioral health, rehabilitation, military education and training, human factors, etc.
