The objective of the mapping review is to categorize information on the prevalence of cervicogenic headache. Prevalence is a measure of frequency. Therefore, we composed a search string that included 'frequency', 'occurence' and 'prevalence'. Prevalence is directly affected by the incidence and duration of the health outcome under study, which makes it a poor choice for diseases or outcomes with a short duration or high mortality rate. Consequently, 'incidence' was also added to the search string.
