Abstract: The Twentieth-first Century, in perpetual change, is an appraisal for scholars, creative writers and intellectuals to question the future of humans as social beings. Ogochukwu in her collections of poems, Wild Letters, empowers both her persona and the addressee to question their place and responsibility in this everchanging world. This work aims to show Ogochukwu as a philosopher. Differently put, the objective is to discuss the extent to which the poems identify her a poetess of new world order. To achieve this aim, Psychological Reader Response theory by Holland serves as theoretical framework for my analyses. As results, it has been discovered that all humans are responsible, to some extent, for the economic and socio-political violences in our societies nowadays. Equally important, the study reveals that, for effective and durable social development and peace, human society should revise their hypocritical understanding of human responsibility.
