An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of different lengths of propagule and tillage methods on growth and yield of Gongronema latifolia at Agbor, Delta State. The trial was a 5 x 3 factorial laid in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) and replicated three times. The treatments comprised of five length of propagules (5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 cm) and three tillage methods (zero tillage, ridge and beds). Data were collected from regenerated shoots of randomly selected three plants at each plot at the eight weeks after planting. The parameters measured were number of sprouts, height of sprouts, number of leaves and number of branches. Data collected were subjected to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and treatment means were separated with Least Significant Difference test using SAS (2010). The result showed that with the exception of number of sprouts, there was no significant (p > 0.05) difference between plants grown from 5 cm and 7 cm length of propagules, plants grown on ridges exercised superiority over other tillage methods in number of sprouts and height of sprouts, but there was no significant difference in number of leaves and branches between plants grown on ridges and beds. It is therefore, suggested that since economic value of this plant is the leaves, lengths of propagule 5 cm or 7 cm and tillage methods of beds or ridges should be used for the cultivation of Gongronema latifolia.
