Several management methods for phytophagous bugs on tomato, eggplants and cabbage crops wereevaluated during the research program IMPULsE (2017-2020). In addition, a huge work was carried outfor characterization of the species of bugs present, in order to better understand and to be able to correctlyidentify these highly problematic pests in vegetable crops. In parallel, a study aimed at characterizing thenatural diversity of bug parasitoids was carried out, which succeeded in identifying natural enemies andpotential biological control agents. At this stage, management methods based on physical protection(nets, chromatic sticky traps) and biological control (parasitoids, entomopathogenic nematodes) gave themost interesting results in tomato and eggplant crops under cover. The use of trap plants showed a real potential in cultivation for the management of cabbage bugs in the field. At the end of the project, variousmanagement levers were identified, but the overall strategies remain to be refined.
