The agroecological transition is multidimensional. It calls for a redesign of production systems, which concerns both crop and livestock systems, and even more, complementarities and synergies that can be found between these sectors. Taking as an example the niche-innovation “Bleu-Blanc-Coeur”, we question its contribution to agroecological transition, in terms of its model of coordination between crops and livestock supply chains, and more specifically for herbivores dairy systems. After reminding the importance of niches in transition process, through the theoretical multi-level approach, we analyse how this niche has been structured in the 2000s and impact the organisation of supply chains.
