Abstract

Bioenergy responds to the three challenges of energy transition, development and independence. They make possible a contribution of the agricultural and forest system to the energy system by three vectors, heat, gaseous or liquid fuel and electricity. Sustainable bioenergy systems must first be concerned with the availability of forest, agricultural and waste biomasses. Technological locks are part of the two major technological paths: thermochemistry and biotechnology. Sustainability has long been a subject of controversy, now appeased by the regulations put in place and the data published.
