Der Beitrag betrachtet das Thema von Separation und Inklusion in Bezug auf neu zugewanderte Schüler*innen im deutschen Schulsystem aus interdisziplinärer Perspektive. Ausgehend von einem breiten Inklusionsverständnis werden exemplarisch die Arbeitsbereiche Deutsch als Zweitsprache (DaZ) und Inklusive Pädagogik mit dem Schwerpunkt Sprache und ihre (noch andauernde) Entwicklung von der Separation zur Inklusion zueinander in Beziehung gesetzt. Der Beitrag verdeutlicht, dass die Inklusion neu zugewanderter Schüler*innen nicht nur hinsichtlich des Diversitätsmerkmals Sprache und bei diesem auch nur der Aneignung des Deutschen im Kontext von Migration und Mehrsprachigkeit fokussiert werden sollte. Between Separation and Inclusion: Newly Immigrated Students in the German School System – an Interdisciplinary Perspective The article looks at the topic of separation and inclusion in relation to newly immigrated pupils in the Ger-man school system from an interdisciplinary perspective. Based on a broad understanding of inclusion, the fields of German as a second language (GSL) and inclusive pedagogy with a focus on language and their (ongoing) development from separation to inclusion are put in relation to each other as examples. The article illustrates that the inclusion of newly immigrated students should not only focus on the aspect of language as a sign of diversity, and, in this case, only on the acquisition of German in the context of migra-tion and multilingualism.
