Digital technology has become an important part of everyday life and has changed people's lifestyles in a number of ways, such as socializing, entertaining, and recording. However, with the gradual spread of digital technology, people's dependence on digital technology has been increasing. Digital addiction refers to any behavioral addiction caused by human-computer interaction, which is characterized by excessive impulsive use, withdrawal, tolerance, and adverse reactions. It involves the following types of addiction to digital technologies such as the Internet, smartphones, social media or videos, and gaming. In past studies have focused more on digital addiction in adolescents and young adults because they spend more time exposed to digital products. Digital addiction in older adults has been less frequently reported; however, more and more older adults are beginning to use digital technologies, and the risk of digital addiction in older adults is rising. Currently, the influencing factors of digital addiction in older adults are unclear. This study will explore the factors affecting digital addiction in older adults and provide a reference for the mitigation of digital addiction in older adults. Methods: This review will follow the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRlSMA-ScR. We will search the databases including PubMed, Embase, EBSCOhost, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library. Articles published in English will be included
