The Moorish Gecko (Tarentola mauritanica) was first observed in the town of Cornebarrieu, at northwest of Toulouse. A young specimen was found during the winter period, January 22, 2022, at 10°C. New populations are likely to be present in this geographical area. It, therefore, seems necessary to start monitoring this sector and take an interest in the wintering of geckos outside large cities in order to understand their mode of acclimatization.
