In our contribution we want to analyze how Frida Kahlo transforms the biographical space woven by pain into a pictorial heterotopic space of imagination that draws on the imaginary of the Christian textual and pictorial tradition and is woven into a palimpsestic structure in which Christian mythology overlaps with pre-Columbian mythology and popular Mexican mythology.
