Abstract

We present two novel proofs of the known classification of connected affine\nalgebraic supergroups G such that \RepG is semisimple. The\nproofs are geometrically motivated, although both rely on an algebraic lemma\nthat characterizes mathfrakosp(1|2n) amongst simple Lie superalgebras.\n
