Abstract

In this note we revisit the recent developments concerning rigorous results\non the virial series of a continuous system of classical particles interacting\nvia a stable and tempered pair potential and we provide new lower bounds for\nits convergence radius when the potential has a strictly positive stability\nconstant. As an application we obtain a new estimate for the convergence radius\nof the virial series of the Lennard-Jones gas which improves sensibly previous\nestimates present in the literature.\n
