Background: Although physiotherapy techniques alleviate most of the clinical manifestations of majority of respiratory diseases, the roles of physiotherapists in the management of these diseases are underutilized. Objective: To highlight the roles of the Physiotherapist in the management of respiratory diseases. Review: A review of the roles and aims of physiotherapy as well as the physiotherapy management modalities in respiratory diseases was done. Conclusion: Physiotherapists use non-invasive, physiotherapeutic techniques that are safe and very effective in relieving symptoms, improving functional abilities and quality of life in individuals with respiratory diseases
