What Do We Know About Public Policies for Women's Sports: A Scoping Review

Abstract

This scoping review aims to analyze and synthesize academic research on public policies directed toward women's sports, with a focus on identifying the main operational challenges and social impacts of these policies on society. Specific Objectives: To identify the operational and structural challenges in implementing these policies, based on empirical evidence from academic research, highlighting factors that hinder or facilitate their effectiveness. To evaluate the social impacts of public policies promoting women's sports, based on the studies analyzed, identifying both positive effects and existing gaps that need to be addressed by future policies and research.
