The aim of this paper is to investigate the Cauchy problem for the periodic fifth order KP-I equation ∂t u - ∂x5 u -∂x-1∂y2u + u∂x u = 0,~(t,x,y)∈ℝ×\mathbbT2 We prove global well-posedness for constant x mean value initial data in the space 𝔼 = \u∈ L2,~∂x2 u ∈ L2,~∂x-1∂y u ∈ L2\ which is the natural energy space associated with this equation.
