In this paper, we extend the classical Newton-Maclaurin inequalities to functions Sk;s(x)=Ek(x)+\dsumi=1s \ali Ek-i(x), which are formed by linear combinations of multiple basic symmetric mean. We proved that when the coefficients \al1,\al2,⋯,\als satisfy the condition that the polynomial ts+\al1 ts-1+\al2 ts-2+⋯+\als has only real roots, the Newton-Maclaurin type inequalities hold for Sk;s(x).
