In 1914, I referred<sup>1</sup>to two cases of adenomyoma of the rectovaginal septum recently reported by Cuthbert Lockyer,<sup>2</sup>and mentioned observations made by Macnaughton-Jones, Clifford White and Herbert Spencer. I also briefly mentioned two cases that Dr. D. S. D. Jessup of New York had observed and which he was about to publish. Since then Jessup<sup>3</sup>has reported his cases in full. I have reported another case.<sup>4</sup>Stevens<sup>5</sup>reports five cases of adenomyoma that he observed in the course of eighteen months. He also refers to a case which he had accurately described in 1910. Pierre Nadal,<sup>6</sup>of Bordeaux, reported a case of adenomyoma of the posterior vaginal wall in 1911. Other cases may have been recorded, but a careful survey of the literature in the<i>Index Medicus</i>for the last years failed to yield me more data on this subject. I shall briefly
