We establish some fundamental relations between Dirac subbundles L for the generalized Courant algebroid (A⊕ A∗, ϕ+W) over a differentiable manifold M and the associated Dirac subbubndles L for the corresponding Courant algebroid A ⊕ A∗ over M× \R.
