Abstract

Hydroxyapatite nanostructure shows more appropriate bioactivity and biodegradability. Mechanical alloying is considered a suitable method to prepare different powders, especially nanopowders because it creates a more reliable bond than bone. The most important advantage of this method is the ability to produce powder on an industrial scale. For this purpose, hydroxyapatite with millimeter granulation was prepared and placed in the mill by a planetary mill for different periods of time. After different periods of time to ensure the formation of nano structure, scaning electron microscope (SEM) tests were performed to determination of grain size. X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to identify the synthesized powder. finally, if the desired characteristics were confirmed, the resulting powder was used for biological testing. Based on the findings of this research, the control of measurements is a very useful parameter for regulating the behavior and biological activity of hydroxyapatite for medical applications.
