A unique type of azurophilic crystalline inclusion in malignant lymphocytes in a case of chronic lymphocytic leukemia is described. The histochemistry, light and electron microscopy of the crystals in the present case are compared with the better documented and more common lymphocyte crystals seen in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and with Auer bodies. The subject crystals most closely resemble those comprising Auer bodies morphologically, but they differ histochemically.
