Saxifraga oppositifolia rundras.and some indefinite vegetation gradients.Special auention was paid io plant communities that produce organic deposits.Descriptions of communities are based mainly on the following criteria: the floristic composition, the dominance of species, general physiognomic-ecological features, rclarionships with laudforms and substrates, and types of bio-products derived from a community.The general geobotanical charncter of the area, distriburion of plant communitics in it, their possible age, and the posrglacial migration on thc island, are discussed.
