Abstract

This project comprises micro-gravity measurements in northern Victoria Land, Antarctica, using the existing Italian network with the basis Gondwana. The purpose was to add gravity data to the already collected def ormation data.We used three gravimeters in parallel to increase the number of readings and -in parallel -to reduce the necessary flights to the points. With this project we could prove that such measurements are possible under the prevailing conditions (strong variations of temperature, air-pressure and elevation), and we could provide a first data set, which will serve as a refe rence for future work.
