Misophonia, characterized by heightened reactions to specific sounds, may extend beyond an affective sound sensitivity disorder. Recent validation studies confirm its impact on daily life in diverse populations. This study employs the S-Five questionnaire to quantify emotional and behavioral aspects and assesses the factor structure and psychometric properties of the S-Five-T scales within the Iranian population. Participants self-identified as experiencing misophonia. This study uses the Penn State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ), Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI), Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), and Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness (MAIA) to characterize the emotional and cognitive attributes, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of the multidimensional nature of misophonia.
