Noetic Gnosis: Definition and Application is a preprint that reconstructs late antique gnosis as a noetic epistemology rather than a doctrinal aberration. It proposes an operational, testable four-condition schema for noetic instantiation: (1) ethical purification, (2) contemplative discipline, (3) participatory ontology, and (4) reflexive unity. Methodologically, the study anchors a structural comparison in the classical ascent from doxa to noesis, engaging Plato, Plotinus, and Philo alongside Alexandrian Christian sources (Clement, Origen) and texts often labeled “Gnostic” (Gospel of Thomas, Apocryphon of John, Pistis Sophia, Poimandres). The schema distinguishes strict, liminal, and non-noetic cases without doctrinal homogenization and introduces a Register Separation Principle to explain third–fourth-century shifts toward creed/canon/office as mechanisms of public validation that do not negate interior noetic possibility
