The introduction of macroorganisms into the environment for use as crop protection auxiliaries is one of the four components of Biocontrol. These predators or parasitoids of pests are introduced, voluntarily or involuntarily, into the fields, greenhouses and orchards to reduce the impact of pests, sucking insects, biting or phytophagous. Since 2012, the introduction of these non-native macro-organisms is regulated in metropolitan France, and after file review, involving possible impact assessments, they are allowed or not allowed to be introduced for agricultural use. All voluntary introductions do not result in the final installation of auxiliaries and failures are possible. It should also be noted that there is no regulation for native macro-organisms, which raises the question of the fine line between an indigenous macroorganism and a non-native macro-organism.
