Beyond the commitments and « classical » findings from the French beekeeping research on multiple causes of mortality or weakening of honey bee colonies and pollinators, we don’t know about the studies lead by the UMT Prade partners aimed to the design and evaluation of implemented bee friendly technical solutions across a territory, an operating systems, crops or even a plot. We propose to come back to six years of work and results based on a methodological approch of design and technical innovations testing beneficial to bees and beekeeping. If initially the method was relied on knowledge to expert statements, the opinion and the effective participation of local stakeholders (farmers, beekeepers) is taking an increasingly place in the co-designing of tested systems. We will see as tools for simulations and simple recommendations change the views and objectives, sometimes conflicting, coming from these actors and facilitate insights and mutual compromises.
