Abstract

The study of organizational resilience has gained importance over the past decades, especially due to the increasing number of economic, environmental, and health crises that have disrupted business operations worldwide. In the face of these turbulences, organizations' ability not only to survive but also to thrive and adapt has become a key factor for their longevity. Organizational resilience is thus conceptualized as a set of skills and resources enabling organizations to withstand shocks, quickly reorganize, and seize opportunities emerging from crisis situations. However, measuring this complex capacity remains a challenge for researchers and practitioners. Numerous measurement tools have been developed to assess organizational resilience, each emphasizing specific dimensions such as culture, governance, organizational learning, or resource management. These tools, ranging from quantitative indices to qualitative theoretical frameworks, vary significantly in methodological approaches and application contexts. The current analysis relies on a methodology aimed at identifying and examining similarities, differences, strengths, and weaknesses among various tools. Standardized evaluation criteria have been defined to ensure comparability. These criteria include dimensions such as conceptual relevance, ease of use and understanding, adaptability to businesses, and administration duration. Data for this analysis were drawn from reliable sources, including scientific publications, institutional reports, and recognized databases. Each tool is distinguished by its methodological approach and specific application areas.
