The diversity of agricultural productions in a region brings a number of benefits that are recognized as key to the agroecological transition. But increasing diversification means taking into account the specific ecological and socio-economic characteristics of each region, as well as current trends in farming organizations and new forms of collaboration between farmers. The territory remains the relevant scale for thinking about the levers of agricultural diversification, but evolutionary trajectories need to be decided collectively and supported by the production of knowledge and political and economic support.
