We investigate the prospects for probing the strength of the possible matter\nnonstandard neutrino interactions (mNSI) in long baseline neutrino oscillation\nexperiments and the interference of the leptonic CP angle \δCP with\nthe constraining of the mNSI couplings. The interference is found to be strong\nin the case of the \νe \↔ \ν_\μ and \νe \↔\n\ν_\τ transitions but not significant in the other cases. We use SPS and\nDUNE setups as benchmarks.\n
