Abstract

Self-injection locking is a dynamic phenomenon which provides passive\nstabilization of a lasers emission frequency via resonant optical feedback. The\nstabilization coefficient depends on the level of resonant feedback and quality\nfactor of the external resonant structure creating the feedback. Usually a\nself-injection locked laser (SIL) involves barely tunable resonant Rayleigh\nscattering (RRS). In this work we study theoretically a scheme of a SIL to a\nhigh-Q microresonator with drop-port coupled mirror, in which optical feedback\nlevel is optimally adjusted by the tuning the drop-port mirror coupling. We\nshow that the additional reflector can improve the laser stabilization and\npower handling efficiency if compared with the classic RRS-based scheme.\n
