Abstract

This protocol outlines a scoping review aimed at mapping the scientific literature on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in electronic health records (EHRs). The intersection between AI and EHRs has the potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery by transforming how data is collected, analyzed, and used to enhance clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience. The review seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape, identify knowledge gaps, and support the improvement of AI applications in health records. The analysis of the studies will help guide future research and practical implementations in this emerging field.
