Observation of Color-Suppressed B⁰ → D^(*)0X⁰ Decays

Abstract

We report the first observation of color-suppressed B⁰→ D⁰ π⁰ and D^(*)0 ω decays and evidence of B⁰ → D^*0 π⁰ and D^(*)0 η. The branching fractions are found to be \cal B (B⁰→ D⁰ π⁰) = (2.9 ^+0.4_-0.3 ± 0.6) × 10^-4, \cal B (B⁰ → D⁰ ω) = (1.7 ^{+0.5 +0.3}_{-0.4 -0.4}) × 10^-4, and \cal B (B⁰ → D^*0 ω) = (3.4 ^+1.3_-1.1± 0.8) × 10^-4. The analysis is based on a data sample of 21.3 fb^-1 collected at the Υ(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB e⁺ e^- collider.
