The migration of unaccompanied children and adolescents to Italy, while integral to a historical process, currently represents a dynamic phenomenon, influenced by migrant mobility and shifts in migration policies. In light of this context, it is essential to conduct a thorough analysis of educational practices targeting this distinct group. This research delves into the educational practices, shedding light on the structural, cultural, and social hurdles these children and adolescents face in their journey toward educational integration and pursuit of economic opportunities. The study’s qualitative methodology relies on interviews conducted with educators in 2025, underscoring the pivotal role these professionals play as agents of reception and socio-cultural mediation. The findings highlight multiple challenges encountered in daily school life: educational efforts in this setting go beyond the mere application of pedagogical techniques; they constitute a political and ethical endeavor that demands active listening, commitment, and ongoing reflection on implemented practices.
