Abstract

This project entails a scoping review examining the vital link between parental behavior and children's development of environmentally conscious attitudes in the context of climate change. Focused on the escalating impacts of climate change, the study systematically reviews existing literature from ten databases, prioritizing English-language peer-reviewed articles and theses on parent-child populations. Two independent reviewers will extract data to synthesize populations, concepts, and study methods, resolving discrepancies through discussion or a third reviewer. The ultimate aim is to fill knowledge gaps and provide a foundational understanding of how parental behavior influences the environmental consciousness of future generations. The insights gained aim to inform evidence-based policymaking and interventions in the context of climate change challenges.
