This work concerns the red macro seaweed Gracilaria distribution in the Tunis north lake and the surface corresponding to each type recovering during June and July 1996. The Gracilaria covers 265 ha of the lake which correspond to 10% of it's total surface. 59,5% is surrounding the water plan in shallow water, 24% inside and 17% near the central dyke
