Abstract

Canonical quantization (CQ) is built around [Q,P]=i\ℏ1 ! !1, while\naffine quantization (AQ) is built around [Q,D]=i\ℏ ,Q, where\nD\≡(PQ+QP)/2. The basic CQ operators must fit -\∞< P, Q <\∞,\nwhile the basic AQ operators can fit -\∞<P<\∞ and 0<Q<\∞,\n-\∞ <Q<0, or even -\∞<Q\≠0<\∞. AQ can also be the key to\nquantum gravity, as our simple outline demonstrates.\n
