Abstract

Abstract This forum brings together six historians of Eastern Europe who discuss decolonizing approaches. In the aftermath of the Russian genocidal war, the question of whose history we write and teach and whose is seen as marginal is more important than ever, and history is intrinsically linked to Ukraine’s struggle for survival. The forum also suggests how much has wider field of decolonizing history to learn from Eastern Europe, especially in the Western setting, as it demonstrates blind spots in the field itself.
